Magistrates

Magistrates are non-elected judicial officers. A Magistrate is an attorney appointed by the court who hears cases referred by the Judges. Magistrates hear and consider cases in the same manner as a Judge. Certain decisions of the Magistrate are not final or effective until they are reviewed and adopted by a Judge.
